Why choose us?

These are some of the reasons why we feel you should consider us for your wedding stationery;

1) Every stationery order is fully made to order (see box to the left for more details).

2) Our stationery is produced to a very high standard and we will reject cards with faults that some high street companies may deem acceptable in their wedding stationery.

3) Our card designs are an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary utilising some fantastic coloured cards and boards.

4) We are able to change and customise all of our card designs to suit your wishes and can completely design a card from scratch for you if desired.

5) We have many optional extras available to enhance your chosen card range.

6) We do NOT charge for producing wording proofs; surely a necessity not an optional extra!

7) Excepting magnets, we do NOT use product branding on any of our personalised stationery.

8) All personalised cards are sent to you fully assembled; some companies make you assemble them yourself!

9) We are not one of the fly-by-night companies or individuals who seem to spring up overnight after visiting their local craft shop! We have been registered since 1999 and have produced thousands of different stationery orders!

10) We price our products realistically; some companies think that the word �wedding� is a license to rip you off!

11) Our pricing is upfront and includes VAT; we were amazed to find some stationers not including VAT in their prices (not many of us can put wedding stationery through our own business and claim the VAT back!)

What do we know about weddings?

Over the years we have produced stationery for many different styles of wedding and have great experience within the wedding stationery market. We are proud to say that we were just about the first dedicated commercial stationers to offer cards specifically for civil partnership ceremonies.

The founding directors (and day to day work horses!) of Newcombe Design, Alison and Paul, planned their own wedding day and are especially sympathetic to the stress of trying to sort out a hundred and one things before the big day! Their own wedding invitations were a one off design and so complicated that each one took nearly an hour to assemble - they have vowed never to undertake such a design again!
They got married on the 19th June 2004 at Escot House, near Honiton in East Devon. (nearly three years! - where did the time go?)

So where are we?

Exmouth is a beautiful sea-side town on the south coast of Devon as you can see from the map below.

We are located in a large dedicated studio right in the heart of Exmouth. Please note that we are not currently insured for visitors to the studio (a flight of steps does not help!), however if you live in the Exmouth area we may be able to arrange a meeting with examples of our designs.

Newcombe Design Limited is a design company specialising primarily in Wedding Stationery (although we do produce some rather funky stationery for various local businesses!). We have been registered as a limited company since 1999 and are proud to have produced thousands of orders and millions of individual cards since! We are based in a dedicated studio and utilise specialist machinery to produce our cards.

How will my stationery
be made?

All orders whether personalised or non personalised are created completely from scratch and are hand assembled;

Once we have received your order we will produce proofs of any personalised inserts required.

Your chosen card type will be cut from large sheets of board and folded for as many cards as required for all stationery types (such as invitations or menus)

Any additional card detailing will also be cut to size (such as the coloured squares used in Regal Style or Entwined Hearts)

The design and/or wording will be foil printed onto the front of the cut cards using a heat process.

Once we have approval of the proofs any inserts will be printed and then cut to size.

The cards are then assembled and if required inserts are fixed into place.

Envelopes are added to the order.

Finally the completed order is safely packaged and sent to you.

Everything is done in house; from the initial concept of the design and colour schemes right through to the cutting of the cards, inserts and any detailing, printing of designs and inserts and then the final assembly of the stationery. Every order is made individually so we are able to incorporate the various optional extras available. In effect this means that every order could be considered a bespoke service!
We are very proud of our own designs and so we do not sell wedding stationery for other companies.
