St Peter’s Church Shaldon Order of Service for the marriage of Karyn Louise Alters and Brian Johnson Saturday 27th June 2009 at 1pm
Order of Service BRIDAL MARCH “Lohengrin”..............................Wagner HYMN Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy, Whose trust, ever child like, no cares could destroy, Be there at our waking, and give us, we pray, Your bliss in our hearts, Lord, at the break of the day. Lord of all eagerness, Lord of all faith, Whose strong hands were skilled at the plane and the lathe, Be there at our labours and give us, we pray, Your strength in our hearts, Lord, at the noon of the day. Lord of all kindliness, Lord of all grace, Your hands swift to welcome, your arms to embrace, Be there at our homing, and give us, we pray, Your love in our hearts, Lord, at the eve of the day. Lord of all gentleness, Lord of all calm, Whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm, Be there at our sleeping, and give us, we pray, Your peace in our hearts, Lord, at the end of the day. THE MARRIAGE Conducted by Reverend Thomas William SIGNING OF THE REGISTER
HYMN All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colours, He made their tiny wings. All things bright, etc. The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one. All things bright, etc. He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well, All things bright, etc. READING...................................John 15 v 9-12 PRAYERS BLESSING WEDDING MARCH.................................Mendelssohn
Order of Service Wording
The order of service cards can be used as an alternative to handing out prayer and
hymn books. All personalised details are printed on an insert within the card.
Depending on your preference you can show a complete breakdown of the service with
the words of the minister and the responses from the couple or you can keep it simple
with the details of the service shown as a guide only, maybe with the hymn words
written as shown in the example below.
Each card insert can be printed on both sides, giving you four pages to work with,
however if you have an exceptionally long service you may require additional inserts
which are available for £0.30p each insert per card. A single insert is held in place
with a thin strip of glue to the right of the spine of the card and will not obscure
details on the rear page.
